Overview

Travel Clearance charges a service fee for assisting travelers with their Canada eTA applications. Our refund policy reflects the work performed at each stage of the application process. We are committed to being transparent and fair in all refund decisions.

This policy applies to our service fee of $49 USD. The Government of Canada's eTA processing fee of $7 CAD is collected directly by IRCC and is non-refundable in all circumstances, regardless of the outcome of your application. Travel Clearance has no authority over IRCC fees.

Refund Tiers

Tier 1: Full Refund (100%)

Conditions: Cancellation requested within 24 hours of purchase AND before our team has begun processing your application.

If you change your mind shortly after placing your order and our team has not yet started reviewing your application, we will issue a full refund of our service fee. Please note that once review has begun — typically within 1–2 hours of submission — the Tier 2 conditions apply.

Tier 2: Partial Refund (50%)

Conditions: Application has been reviewed by our team but has not yet been submitted to the government.

If you cancel after our team has reviewed your application but before it has been submitted to IRCC, we will refund 50% of our service fee. The remaining 50% covers the review work already performed.

Tier 3: No Refund

Conditions: Application has been submitted to the Government of Canada.

Once your application has been submitted to IRCC, our service has been fully rendered and our service fee is non-refundable. This applies regardless of:

  • Whether your application is approved, refused, or requires further processing
  • Changes to your travel plans
  • Changes to government policy after submission

Special Circumstances

In the following exceptional circumstances, we may offer a full refund regardless of processing stage:

  • Duplicate application submitted in error (same applicant, same application)
  • Technical error on our part that prevents submission
  • If we determine that we cannot process your specific application

Refunds are not issued for eTA rejections by the government, as the rejection is a decision made solely by IRCC, not by Travel Clearance.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

    Include your order details

    Provide your application reference number, the email address used to apply, and the reason for your refund request.

    Await confirmation

    Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with a decision.

  4. 4

    Refund processing

    Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Funds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary by bank.
