Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2024
Please read these terms carefully before using Travel Clearance's services. By submitting an application or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Nature of Our Service
Travel Clearance ("we", "us", or "the Company") is an independent third-party travel assistance service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), or any other government authority.
Our service provides guidance, form assistance, and application review to help travelers apply for Canada's Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). You may apply directly through the official Government of Canada website at no service charge. By using Travel Clearance, you are purchasing our assistance service, not a government service.
Travel Clearance does not guarantee the approval of any visa, eTA, or travel authorization. Approval decisions are made exclusively by the relevant government authority. Our role is to assist in the preparation and submission of your application.
2. Service Fees
Travel Clearance charges a service fee of $49 USD per eTA application. This fee covers our guided application form, review by our team, submission coordination, status monitoring, and customer support services.
The Government of Canada separately charges an eTA application fee of $7 CAD. This government fee is paid directly to the Government of Canada and is not collected by Travel Clearance. You will be informed of this fee during the payment process.
All fees are clearly disclosed before payment. By proceeding with payment, you confirm that you have read and understood the fee structure.
3. No Guarantee of Approval
Travel Clearance does not guarantee that your eTA application will be approved. Approval is solely at the discretion of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and is subject to their policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria, which may change without notice.
An approved eTA does not guarantee entry into Canada. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer at the port of entry retains the authority to deny entry at their discretion.
4. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information in your application. Travel Clearance reviews applications for completeness and common errors but is not responsible for inaccuracies, omissions, or false information provided by the applicant.
Providing false or misleading information in a Canadian immigration application may constitute a criminal offense and may result in a permanent ban from Canada. Travel Clearance accepts no liability for the consequences of inaccurate information provided by applicants.
5. Refund Policy
Our refund policy is as follows:
- Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of purchase and before processing has begun.
- 50% refund if your application has been reviewed but not yet submitted to the government.
- No refund once your application has been submitted to the government, as our service has been fully rendered.
Government fees are non-refundable once paid to IRCC, regardless of the outcome of the application. Please see our Refund Policy for complete details.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Travel Clearance and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost travel arrangements, flight costs, accommodation costs, or other travel-related expenses arising from:
- The rejection, delay, or cancellation of an eTA application
- Denial of entry to Canada by CBSA officers
- Changes in government policy or procedures
- Inaccurate information provided by the applicant
- Technical failures beyond our reasonable control
In any event, our total liability to you shall not exceed the service fee you paid to Travel Clearance.
7. Intellectual Property

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
